Past Fantasy Outlooks
The last two years Kaye has found himself in two nine month slumps. The first slump came after a win in 2004, the most recent slump came after a runner- up finish at the season-opening Mercedes Championship. After the runner-up at the Mercedes, he could only manage two other top-20s until another runner-up at the watered down Reno-Tahoe Open. At this point, Kaye is entirely unpredictable. Stay away from him at this price.
Kaye finally had a breakout year in 2003, but a closer look would show you that he made more than half of his money from two tourneys. We don't know if Kaye will stay at the $2.5 million level just yet, but he's certainly starting to pan out to some degree. However, note he only made the cut in 2/3 of his starts. Kaye has the potential for a big year, but only if you can get him at a decent value. There's still some risk there.
