2023 Fantasy Outlook
A third-round pick in the 2020 Draft, Deguara is entering his fourth season with the Packers. After making only two appearances as a rookie due to injuries, he suited up for all but one contest over the last two years. However, he racked up more than 40 yards in a game just three times. Deguara will have a prime opportunity to make a mark in 2023, as no tight end on the roster has more career receptions (39). With the Packers drafting tight ends in both the second (Luke Musgrave) and third rounds (Tucker Kraft) of this year's draft, though, there isn't a lack of competition. Read Past Outlooks

The Jaguars are slated to sign Deguara to a one-year contract, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Deguara spent the last four seasons handling a depth role in Green Bay, where he was drafted in the third round back in 2020. His versatility both as a blocker and on special teams will boost his chances of earning playing time behind Evan Engram, but Deguara peaked with a 25-245-2 receiving line in 2021 and doesn't appear to have much fantasy potential.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Headed for No. 1 tight end duties?
Deguara currently sits atop the Packers tight end depth chart with Robert Tonyan having agreed to a one-year deal with the Bears on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Tonyan is now officially out of Deguara's path to the top job, while 18-year veteran Marcedes Lewis isn't expected back. That leaves Deguara at the top of the depth chart at this point in the offseason, although there could naturally be competition brought in via the draft or free agency. A 2020 third-round pick who recorded 77 receptions for 972 yards and 12 touchdowns over his last two college seasons at Cincinnati, Deguara appeared to be on the way to similar production with Green Bay when he generated a 25-245-2 line over 16 games in 2021. However, the 26-year-old took a step back last season, posting 13 grabs for 114 yards across 17 games while logging only 15 targets overall.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2020
After missing nearly all of his rookie season with a knee injury, Deguara appeared in all but one game a year ago. He opened the campaign in a bit role, but when fellow tight end Robert Tonyan went down with a knee injury of his own, Deguara's snap count went up, and he even started a couple games. Deguara didn'tt do a lot in the passing game, but he did score two long touchdowns, indicating he's more than just a blocker. The Packers' tight end room will look almost exactly like it did last season, though it's unclear when Tonyan will be ready to go. Deguara isn't primed to make a major leap, but he was taken in the third round in the 2020 Draft, so he figures to continue getting opportunities.
