Hearthstone: Top 5 Joke Cards in Kobolds & Catacombs

This article is part of our Hearthstone series.

Not everybody plays Hearthstone for the same reason. Some people play with with the hopes of becoming world champion. Some people play for some entertainment while on the toilet. Some people play for the memes!

Luckily, Blizzard loves to troll the general public and keeps the memes alive in every set. If you are looking for memes, some crazy RNG or just for some downright weird things to happen, these cards are for you to dabble in when Kobolds & Catacombs goes live on December 7th.

Honorable Mention: Windshear Stormcaller

Finally a pay off for collecting all of the totems! This little totem-Exodia will make a lot of people play straight Totem Shaman, and who doesn't love a bunch of planks of wood fighting it out?

5. Feral Gibberer:

Remember that episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! where Yugi summons a ridiculous amount of Kuribohs and prevents Kaiba from attacking him directly? Now imagine the same amount of less-cute versions of Kuribohs on a Hearthstone board biting your opponent's ankles until he dies and you've got Feral Gibberer.

4. Deck of Wonders:

Shuffling a bunch of random cards into your deck that automatically casts a spell when you draw them? That screams MEME! This card will result in a ton of fireworks (literally, as we can expect Fireballs and Pyroblasts flying all over the place).

3. Temporus:

My first reaction to this card was just to stare at it and try to figure out any scenario in which it would be preferable to let your opponent have two turns in a row… Who will be the person to answer that question? Challenge accepted.

2. King Togwaggle:

AKA King Meme, this just straight up switches decks with your opponent and forces them to use 5 mana just to trade back. Just wait for the person who uses this card to give their opponent just the worst deck in the world and finds a way to have their opponent burn the Ransom trade-back spell.

1. Rin, the First Disciple:

With the end effect of a card reading 'Destroy your opponent's deck,' it will definitely see some meme play. When the entire process takes 41 mana, it instantly becomes a massive joke and a challenge that only the memeiest of players will accept. When it finally works though… Oh boy will it feel good.
