Transfers to Arkansas State
Mays announced Wednesday via his personal Twitter account that he has committed to Arkansas State, joining the program as a transfer from West Virginia.

Mays will be changing schools for the second offseason in a row after he arrived at West Virginia last January as a transfer from Northwest Mississippi Community College. The defensive tackle played a bit role in his lone season for the Mountaineers, tallying four tackles. He was a redshirt junior in 2020, so Mays should have two years of eligibility remaining as he heads to Arkansas State. However, he may need a waiver from the NCAA in order to play right away for the Red Wolves in 2021.
