Walking on at South Carolina
March 9, 2023
Gibbs enrolled at South Carolina earlier this year and joined the football program as a walk-on, Hale McGranahan of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
South Carolina marks the third FBS stop for Gibbs, who began his collegiate career at Georgia as a defensive back in 2017 and then transferred to Tennessee in 2019 to play receiver. Gibbs left the Tennessee program following the 2021 season but didn't end up transferring elsewhere for the 2022 campaign and was reportedly considering his post-football options before South Carolina reached out to him. Gibbs will make the move back to defensive back with his new school.
