Knee
July 10, 2020
Zegarowski said Friday in a virtual interview with Talia Goodman that he is "close to 100 percent and is feeling the best he's felt in a long, long time," Jeff Goodman of WatchStadium.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Zegarowski had dealt with some knee pain towards the end of the 2019-20 regular season which led to him undergoing a knee scope that would have kept him out through at least the Big East tournament. The 6'2 guard was second on the team in both minutes (34.6) and points (16.1) per game and led the roster with five assists per game. With leading scorer and minute-getter Ty-Shon Alexander having declared for the 2020 NBA draft, Zegarowski is the Blue Jays top returning talent as a Preseason All-American and having him back at full strength will be key if his team wants to make a return to the NCAA tournament in 2021.
