Miller announced Saturday that he intends to transfer from Mississippi, Ben Garrett of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After sitting out his entire first season on campus in 2018-19 due to ongoing knee troubles, Miller stayed healthy as a redshirt freshman, but he wasn't a consistent member of the Rebels' rotation. He averaged just 7.2 minutes across 19 appearances, prompting him to pursue his options elsewhere. Barring a waiver from the NCAA or a move outside the Division I ranks, Miller will have to sit out the 2020-21 season before returning to action in 2021-22 with two years of eligibility remaining.

Mississippi coach Kermit Davis confirmed in September that Miller (knee) was fully healthy ahead of training camp, Ben Garrett of 247Sports.com reports. "Franco's a really good talent," Davis said of the redshirt freshman. "[Miller] didn't get to practice hardly at all last year. He's healthy, knock on wood, and full speed. With him being a freshman, he's going to do some really good things.
