Good to go for 2019-20

Mississippi coach Kermit Davis confirmed in September that Miller (knee) was fully healthy ahead of training camp, Ben Garrett of 247Sports.com reports. "Franco's a really good talent," Davis said of the redshirt freshman. "[Miller] didn't get to practice hardly at all last year. He's healthy, knock on wood, and full speed. With him being a freshman, he's going to do some really good things.
ANALYSIS
The Rebels were hopeful that Miller could solidify himself as the backup point guard as a true freshman in 2018-19, but that never came to fruition after he injured his knee while warming up prior to what would have been his collegiate debut in mid-December. The setback was especially troubling given that Miller battled issues prior to arriving at Ole Miss, but the 6-foot-3 point guard indicated last May that he felt like he was in a good place physically. Davis' comments support that sentiment, and now Miller will look to earn his spot on the second unit behind projected starter Devontae Shuler ahead of the Nov. 8 season opener versus Arkansas State.
