April 28, 2021
Wright announced Wednesday that he will forgo his remaining year of eligibility and enter the 2021 NBA Draft, Ken Sugiura of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Wright had a stellar senior season, including being named ACC Player of the Year, he averaged 17.4 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest. His shooting was where he saw the most improvement, earning career-highs in field-goal percentage (53.2 percent), free-throw percentage (65.8 percent) and three-point percentage (41.4 percent). Wright's departure will leave a massive gap in the front court for the Yellow Jackets next season, with Rodney Howard currently sitting atop the center depth chart at this point in the offseason.
