Celtics Defeat Heat in Game 5, 121-108
The Boston Celtics defeated the Miami Heat, 121-108, in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals in Orlando on Friday.

Boston needed a win here to extend the series and they did just that to get to a 3-2 deficit. This was a true tale of two halves, with Miami leading for the entirety of the first half while Boston held the lead for the final 20 minutes of play. The Celtics actually outscored the Heat, 70-50, in the second half, despite losing the first quarter, 26-18. Boston ended up out-rebounding Miami, 50-38. In addition, the Celtics hit 12-of-38 from three-point range while The Heat connected on just 7-of-36.

The Celtics (2-3) were led by Jayson Tatum, who collected 31 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. Jaylen Brown amassed 28 points, eight rebounds and two assists. Kemba Walker accrued 15 points, two rebounds and seven assists. Daniel Theis generated 15 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks while Marcus Smart tallied 12 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and four steals.

The Heat (3-2) were led by Goran Dragic and his 23 points, four rebounds and four assists. Duncan Robinson totaled 20 points and two boards. Jimmy Butler fell just shy of a triple-double, accumulating 17 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. Bam Adebayo had 13 points, eight rebounds and eight assists while Tyler Herro led the bench with 14 points.

Game 6 will be played on Sunday, with Miami up in the series, 3-2.
