Suns Hold On For Hard-Fought Road Win
The Phoenix Suns defeated the host San Antonio Spurs, 103-99, at AT&T Center on Friday evening.

The Spurs got out to a solid start at home, with a 28-22 lead after one quarter. The Suns turned the tables in the second and outscored the Spurs 34-16 in the quarter, to take 12-point lead at halftime. The Spurs chipped away through the third quarter and brought to a one-point game, before the Suns closed the quarter on a 9-4 run, to take six-point lead into the final frame. The Spurs cut it back to a one-point game early in the fourth, but once again, the Suns pushed ahead. The Spurs got it back to a two-point game with two minutes to go, but the Suns executed down the stretch, to hold on for the road win.

Devin Booker led the Suns with 35 points, 10 assists, four rebounds and a block, in 41 minutes. Dario Saric added 20 points, four rebounds and a steal, while Kelly Oubre Jr. tallied 16 points, nine rebounds, two assists, three blocks and two steals. The Suns shot 46 percent from the field, including 8-of-29 from deep.

Meanwhile, DeMar DeRozan led the Spurs with 30 points, eight rebounds, four assists and a steal, in 36 minutes. LaMarcus Aldridge added 16 points, six rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal, while Derrick White chipped in 13 points, six rebounds, four assists, four blocks and three steals. The Spurs shot 42 percent from the field, including 5-of-25 from long range.

The Spurs (20-24) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Raptors on Sunday. The Suns (19-26) take on the Grizzlies in Memphis on Sunday.
