Thunder Blow Out Visiting Hawks
The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the visiting Atlanta Hawks, 140-111, at Chesapeake Energy Arena on Friday evening.

The Thunder got out to a great start, with an early 10-2 lead and held on to lead 33-30 after one quarter. They stayed a step ahead to start the second and pushed their lead to 12, mid way through the quarter, before settling on a an eight-point lead at halftime. The Hawks came out strong in the third and cut it to a one-point game, mid way through the quarter, however, the Thunder outscored the Hawks 27-14 through the rest of the quarter, to take a 14-point lead into the final frame. The Thunder carried the momentum into the fourth, where they outscored the visitors 36-21, to complete the blowout at home, for their fourth straight win.

Danilo Gallinari led the Thunder with 25 points, six rebounds, three assists and a steal, in 28 minutes. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished with 24 points, six assists, three rebounds, three blocks and a steal, while Dennis Schroder added 21 points, eight assists and three rebounds, off the bench. The Thunder shot 58 percent from the field, including 14-of-25 from long range.

Meanwhile, Trae Young led the Hawks with 28 points, 16 assists, two rebounds and a steal, in 33 minutes. John Collins tallied 28 points, six rebounds and a steal, while Cam Reddish added 20 points and six rebounds, off the bench. The Hawks shot 46 percent from the field, including 11-of-36 from deep.

The Hawks (11-35) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Wizards on Sunday. The Thunder (27-19) take on the Timberwolves in Minnesota on Saturday.
