DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Guards

Dennis Smith Jr., NYK vs. ORL ($6,700): Smith has been a stud since joining the Knicks, averaging 31 minutes and 14.2 shots per game across his last 13 outings while leading New York with a 26.3 percent usage rate. Smith is averaging 33.8 DK points per game in that span, and while the matchup against Orlando isn't ideal, the Magic have one of the weakest point guard rotations in the league.

Jamal Murray, DEN vs. OKC ($6,000): Murray is priced too cheaply for someone with his upside, as he's typically a $7,000 player. Not only does Murray have at least 31 DK points in back-to-back games since returning from injury, but he's also reached that minimum in 11 of his last 15 fixtures, in total. While the return of Isaiah Thomas means another variable in the rotation, Murray is averaging 36.4 fantasy points per game in two fixtures against the Thunder already this season.

Marcus Smart, BOS at TOR ($4,100): Smart has been struggling recently, but this price is too low for someone of his ilk. For Smart to reach 5X value, he would need just 20.5 DK points. His season average is 22.3 fantasy points on its own, as he's averaging 25 DraftKings points across his last eight outings. Smart is easily one of the best bets on the board to reach or surpass 5X value, and he makes it much easier to get studs like Paul George or Russell Westbrook into your lineup.

Forwards

Aaron Gordon, ORL at NYK ($6,400): Gordon is not usually a player I target but he's become very affordable and has a spectacular matchup. Gordon is averaging 33 DK points per game for the season, which alone is surpassing 5X value. The matchup is what's most appealing, though, as he faces a Knicks defense that allows the most fantasy points in the league to opposing forwards. Gordon dropped 37.3 fantasy points in just 29 minutes of action in his one meeting against the Knicks this season.

Al Horford, BOS at TOR ($6,300): Getting to use Horford at power forward becomes intriguing on a slate like this, as that opens up your roster versatility significantly. Horford is averaging 41.8 DraftKings points per game across his last 13 fixtures. That's closer to the production of an $8,000 player, so he's quite the bargain at $6,300. Not to mention, Horford is averaging 37.3 DK points in three meetings with the Raptors this season.

Paul Millsap, DEN vs. OKC ($6,000): Millsap has come back with fury since his injury and is looking more like the player he was in Atlanta two or three years ago. Millsap has at least 46 fantasy points in three straight games while averaging 52 fantasy points per game in that span. That's 9X value at this price tag, which looks even better when you consider he's averaging 32 minutes and 15 shots per game in that span.

Centers

Nikola Vucevic, ORL at NYK ($9,600): Vucevic is the best player under $10,000 on this slate, as he should absolutely abuse this Knicks defense. New York allows the third-most fantasy points to opposing centers, and Vucevic is averaging 53 DK points in two outings against them this season. What makes that look even more impressive is the fact that he averaged just 28.6 minutes per game, with both games being blowouts in Orlando's favor. His recent form indicates he should continue that dominance, as he's scored at least 42 DK points in seven straight games, while averaging just shy of 50 fantasy points per game in that span.

Mitchell Robinson, NYK vs. ORL ($5,400): With DeAndre Jordan (ankle) doubtful for this game, Robinson becomes one of the best value plays on the board. In the last game without Jordan, he played a season-high 30 minutes and provided 45 DK points. That's what we've come to expect from Robinson, who's averaging 33 fantasy points per game across his last eight fixtures, despite playing fewer than 22 minutes per game. Minutes are virtually all that matter for Mitchell, and he should be set for an expanded role, assuming he can stay out of foul trouble.
