Anthony Garcia

Over the last three seasons, Garcia had climbed through the ranks of the Cardinals' farm system while steadily improving his marks at the plate, peaking at .283/.391/.477 in 2015. In 2016, he split time between Double-A Springfield and Triple-A Memphis. Unfortunately, his play drastically regressed at both locations and he finished the year with a lackluster combined line of .238/.308/.388. Looking to 2017, the odds are definitely stacked against Garcia making it up to the majors, as it seems likely that he'll begin the year with Memphis. He's yet to display the ability to consistently perform at the Triple-A level (.239 career Triple-A batting average). If Garcia does somehow make his way to the major league clubhouse, it's hard to imagine him being a solid contributor due to his recent lackluster showings in the minors.
