O'Brien entered the Soul's 72-27 loss to the Empire on Saturday on Philadelphia's first second-half possession and completed eight of 22 passes for 52 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions. He also rushed once for two yards and lost a fumble.

As his line indicates, O'Brien's performance was mostly forgettable after he entered the game for Dan Raudabaugh due to a coach's decision. The contest marked the rookie's first taste of game action, and barring any injury to Raudabaugh, O'Brien won't see the field during the postseason.
