Out 1-2 weeks after hand surgery
DBrisbane Lions
Hand
June 30, 2021
Madden will be sidelined 1-to-2 weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a hand fracture.
ANALYSIS
The 21-year-old apparently suffered the injury during Round 15, but it appears he won't face an extended absence. Madden should be back in the fold for Brisbane by mid-July.
Still out for Round 3
DBrisbane Lions
Coach's Decision
June 16, 2020
Lions High-Performance Manager Damian Austin indicated Tuesday that Madden (coach's decision) will remain unavailable for Round 3.
ANALYSIS
Madden remains in isolation after returning to the team from Ireland and will be out for at least Round 3 as well as a result. He could be a factor in the Roud 4 process if the team deems him no longer a risk.
Unavailable for Round 2 selection
DBrisbane Lions
Coach's Decision
June 6, 2020
Madden will not be available for selection in Round 2 while he remains in government-mandated quarantine after he recently returned from Ireland, per the Lions' official site.
ANALYSIS
Madden wasn't involved in Round 1 even though he was available, so it's likely not much of a blow for the Lions to have him out of commission for at least a week. He should rejoin the club once his two-week quarantine passes.
