Knee
May 22, 2021
Butters underwent successful surgery to release pressure on the nerve injury around his left knee, Loukas Founten of Port Adelaide FC's official website reports.
ANALYSIS
Butters had surgery in April for an ankle syndesmosis rupture and had just progressed back to running earlier this month. He ended up discovering there was also nerve damage in his left knee from the same incident and that surgery was the best call to ensure a full recovery. The team stated that a timeframe for Butters' return to the field will be determined in the coming weeks.
