McEvoy was able to come through with a well-rounded performance despite the fact he was up against arguably the best ruckman in the league. His six tackles matched his season-high, demonstrating that he still has a lot left in the tank. Although he is not as productive as he once was, McEvoy typically puts up serviceable fantasy production, making him worth consideration.

The Hawks were surprisingly competitive and McEvoy was certainly a huge part of their early success. McEvoy was simply amazing for the Hawks, helping control the game from the back. Despite only 12 disposals, McEvoy was able to limit Tom Lynch to only one goal for the entire game. The normally free-flowing Richmond attack was stifled by McEvoy on numerous occasions with the Hawks then able to slow the game down while controlling the ball off of their backline.
