Short has excelled in recent contests with 17 marks over his last two matches to go with 47 disposals. After what may have seemed like an aberration during his performance against Sydney, Short continued to impress though his consistent play against the Kangaroos. It could be safe to expect these kinds of results more often now that he's shown the capability to repeat his efforts over each week.

July 13, 2020
Short totaled 26 disposals (20 kicks, six handballs), nine marks and zero scoring shots in Sunday's 34-26 victory over the Swans.
Short battled through the treacherous conditions to rack up a season-high 26 disposals Sunday. Both teams were unable to gain a significant advantage, combining for just 60 points. It was the lowest-scoring game in 24 years and will certainly not be a game to remember for anyone. Short thrived with plenty of the ball coming his way, something that is not to be expected on a regular basis.
