Townsend is expected to be available for selection in Round 9 against Brisbane after recovering from a facial fracture, according to Head Physio Lindsay Bull. "We've had to wait for the specialist to tick off (Townsend's) return to contact. He's done that on the weekend, he'll train with the group this week and be available for selection."
ANALYSIS
Townsend had to wait on his recovery and could now find himself available to play in the AFL. He scored nine goals in 13 games last season and will need to do more to improve his fantasy value.

FEssendon Bombers
August 15, 2020
Townsend (concussion) is listed in the team's starting lineup ahead of their match Sunday against the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Townsend is back in the Bombers' starting group after exiting the team's Round 10 match against GWS with a concussion. He was only forced to miss a single match and will look to get back on track following a few disappointing performances after he scored a goal and recorded 10 disposals during a match against Adelaide in late July.

Townsend (concussion) will sit out Wednesday's match versus Gold Coast.
ANALYSIS
Townsend will require some extra time to get right after suffering a concussion during Friday's match versus GWS. It's quite possible he won't be ready for the quick turnaround ahead either, but the team should provide a better outlook leading up to that contest.
